He added, "We started with a draw against Al-Ittihad Alexandria; the team began its preparation late and under difficult circumstances, which affects any squad, but Zamalek is a very great club."

The substitutes' bench decided Zamalek's clash against National Bank of Egypt in the second round of the league.
The substitutes scored Zamalek's goals: Chico Banza, Hossam Ashraf, and Ahmed Abdel Rahim "Eisho" in the second half of the match.
Zamalek will play their next match against Petrojet Suez on Monday in the third round fixtures.
As for National Bank of Egypt, they continue seeking their first point when they face Assiut Petroleum on Monday.
