Ben Jedidia's transfer to Al Ahly comes while the club held a contract with the Moroccan team that extends until the summer of 2030 after he renewed it a few months ago amid his remarkable brilliance.
Al Ahly's attempts and Ammouta's intervention
The past period witnessed attempts by the "Red Castle" administration to obtain Ben Jedidia's services this summer, in order to bolster the forward line, at the request of coach Hussein Ammouta.
A source revealed, in exclusive statements to "Yalla Koura", that Al Ahly negotiated with the Maghreb Fes administration to reduce the financial compensation, after the Moroccan club set a sum of 4 million euros to approve the player's sale.
In return, Al Ahly's offer reached 2.5 million euros, plus half a million euros in add-ons, alongside 15% of the resale percentage. The source pointed to another point, which is Al Ahly's attempt to pay the deal value in installments, which the Moroccan club still rejects.
