Thomas Reis, the coach of Bulgaria's Ludogorets, confirmed that Hossam Abdel Magid still has time to adapt to the atmosphere of European football.
Reis pointed out that the former Zamalek defender is capable of developing and regaining his full fitness and level, following his move to Bulgaria's Ludogorets during the summer transfer window.
Hossam Abdel Magid started for the first time with Ludogorets in the 1-1 draw against Spartak Varna in the seventh round of the Bulgarian league.

Reis said in a statement to "On Sport" channel: "Hossam Abdel Magid's move to Bulgaria was not easy in terms of adaptation. I am satisfied with the player's performance in his first appearance, which led me to rely on him in the second match."
He added: "The responsibility of elevating the technical and physical level of the players lies with the technical staff. Hossam Abdel Magid will undergo an intensive development program in the coming phase to address specific aspects and reach the required readiness."
He continued: "My technical choices and starting lineup depend on the players' actual performance in training and matches, regardless of any influences or media reports."
He concluded: "I am happy to have Hossam Abdel Magid with me in the team, and I trust in his ability to continue developing and providing the required contribution in the coming period."
