Liverpool club has made its decision regarding the possibility of the departure of the team's striker Cody Gakpo during the current summer transfer season for the year 2026, after Tottenham expressed its desire to obtain his services.
Tottenham is looking to sign Cody Gakpo, who is admired by coach Roberto De Zerbi, as the Italian seeks to rebuild the London team strongly.
But Liverpool does not intend to agree to Cody Gakpo's departure as it insists on keeping him at "Anfield" stadium next season, according to press reports on Monday.

The English "talkSPORT" network reported that Liverpool is not willing to let go of the Dutch player, especially since he has a valid contract with the team until 2030, which means he is in a strong negotiating position.
It explained that Liverpool does not want to lose a veteran player in its attacking line like Gakpo, and he also represents a key element in the plans of coach Andoni Iraola.
It indicated that although selling Gakpo would achieve a major financial benefit for Liverpool, where the value of his departure deal might reach 70 million pounds sterling, the club believes in the importance of the sports project more than the financial profit.
