Liverpool paves the way for Alisson's departure and finalizes a new deal

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker appears set to leave the Reds at the end of the current season, as the Brazilian international has been heavily linked with a departure from the club.

Alisson's name has been linked with a move away from Liverpool after the 33-year-old received an offer to join Juventus earlier this year, before the goalkeeper opted to remain with the English club.

In a related development, reliable source 'Fabrizio Romano' confirmed that Liverpool have finalized the signing of young goalkeeper Lucca Brughmans, who currently plays for Genk.

Romano confirmed via his official account on the 'X' platform that Liverpool have reached an agreement with Genk to sign Lucca Brughmans, who is only 18 years old.

He explained that Liverpool will pay Genk €35 million to sign Brughmans, and the goalkeeper will join the Reds starting next summer, as the young keeper will remain on loan at Genk for this season.

Brughmans will undergo medical tests in the coming period while awaiting the completion of procedures, before the official announcement of his transfer to Liverpool.

Romano continued discussing the deal, stating that the transfer fee for Brughmans to Liverpool is split into €33 million, plus an additional €2 million in add-ons.

He concluded by saying that the only scenario in which Brughmans would join Liverpool this year, rather than waiting until next year, is if Giorgi Mamardashvili leaves the English club before the summer transfer window closes tomorrow, Tuesday.

Brughmans' arrival at Liverpool next year is a strong indicator of Alisson's departure from the Reds, as the Brazilian international's contract with the English club is already set to expire at the end of this season.
