Lille French club president, Olivier Letang, made statements about the future of Moroccan player Ayoub Bouaddi amid his association with the possibility of his transfer to Manchester City ranks that summer.
Bouaddi succeeded in attracting attention to himself thanks to his performance with the Moroccan national team in the 2026 World Cup tournament.
Recent press reports have emerged indicating that Manchester City club has a strong desire to obtain Bouaddi's services in the current summer transfer season, to compensate for the potential departure of Rodri.
While reports confirmed the existence of an agreement between Manchester City and Bouaddi regarding his transfer deal to the "Etihad" stadium for 100 million euros, which Lille's president denied.
Lille's president said, in statements published by the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo": "I have already said that weeks ago, there are no interested clubs, I am surprised by the spread of some rumors about the possibility of Bouaddi's transfer to a club wearing light blue (Manchester City)".

He added: "No, this is not true, there is interest from very big clubs, as I mentioned previously, few can afford the cost of Bouaddi's deal at the present time, but there is nothing new in this regard".
He continued: "There is constant interest, there are constant offers from those big clubs, but the only truth today is that Bouaddi is a player at Lille club 100%".
He went on: "Official offers? Yes, we have already received them, but they were not satisfactory, because Bouaddi is a very important player for us, we must be realistic, any deal involves three parties, the two clubs and the player, the player's wishes are also important, those must be confidential discussions between me and Bouaddi, I have no reason to talk about that here".
