The Tunisian Sfaxien Club announced its official qualification to participate in the African Confederation Cup for the 2026-2027 season.
Sfaxien clarified in an official statement that the First Division Committee of the Tunisian Football Federation approved during its meeting held today, Friday, the club's official qualification to participate in the continental championship.
Sfaxien will compete in the Confederation in the new season under the leadership of Ali Maaloul and with the presence of Ayman Mathlouthi, after the Tunisian Federation resolved its stance on the clubs participating continentally.
The announcement represents a strong boost for the club before the start of the season, as Sfaxien prepares to compete to regain its continental presence and achieve distinguished results in the African championship.
Al Ahly will participate in the next edition of the African Confederation after finishing third in the Egyptian League behind the leader Zamalek and the runner-up Pyramids.

A statement from the Egyptian Football Association revealed: "The share of some federations, according to the applicable classification criteria, can rise to 3 clubs in the African Champions League and 3 clubs in the African Confederation Cup, provided that the additional clubs' participation begins from the preliminary rounds."
