Barcelona club president Joan Laporta revealed the latest developments regarding his team's desire to sign Julian Alvarez, Atletico Madrid star, who is considered a main target for the Blaugrana this summer.
Alvarez explicitly announced in the past period his desire to leave Atletico Madrid during the current summer transfer window, as the Argentine international wants to achieve his dream without revealing his next destination.
Alvarez dreams of signing with Barcelona according to all press and media reports, and the player has rejected the idea of signing for other clubs, such as Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, and Arsenal.

Miguel Angel Gil Martin, the CEO of Atletico Madrid, had spoken about Barcelona's interest in signing Alvarez, clarifying that the Spanish capital club does not want to sell the player under any circumstances.
Laporta responded to Gil Martin's statements, confirming in statements reported by the newspaper "AS", that Barcelona has set a deadline for Atletico Madrid regarding Alvarez's offer.
Laporta stated: "I respect everyone's opinions, all I know is that we have made an offer, and that's it, we will announce at some point that this offer is no longer valid, that will be at the end of July, and this is what we will probably do".
Barcelona has strengthened its attacking line so far by signing Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United, and the Blaugrana have also secured the signing of Karim Adeyemi, Borussia Dortmund winger, and the deal is expected to be announced soon.
