Lamine Yamal, the Barcelona and Spain player, spoke about his goal against Livaković, the Croatian goalkeeper and his teammate at the Catalan club, as the two national teams faced each other on Tuesday evening in the UEFA Nations League, and he commented on the Ballon d'Or race.
The Spanish national team met its Croatian counterpart within the framework of the second matchday of the group stage of the UEFA Nations League tournament.
Spain secured victory in the match with a 4-1 win over Croatia, and Lamine Yamal scored a brace against Livaković.
Yamal spoke in remarks published by the Spanish newspaper "Marca" and the newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" after the match.
Yamal said: "You have to enter the match atmosphere with high concentration from the start, and things are going our way."

He added regarding his goal near the near post: "I know Livaković well from training, I thought about training and what he usually does, and indeed the ball went into the net."
Regarding the atmosphere in Seville, he affirmed: "We are very excited and happy with our ability to bring the World Cup here, we have been chasing the World Cup title for years, and they really deserved it, so we are very happy."
When asked if this is another piece of evidence strengthening his chances of winning the Ballon d'Or, he replied smilingly: "Another piece of evidence, just another achievement added to the tally."
In a video published by "Mundo Deportivo" via its account on the "X" platform, he commented: "I don't play only to win the Ballon d'Or, but I play for myself and for the fans, and to continue achieving victories."
He was asked: "Have you gotten closer to winning it?", to which Yamal replied: "I don't know, as I do not participate in the voting," and concluded: "A month ago, you were saying that my level had declined, and I know that you might say the same thing again at any moment, I am calm."
