Pyramids Club is looking to sign a new striker during the current summer transfer period to compensate for the departure of Fiston Mayele.
A source told Laila Koura: "Pyramids has entered into negotiations with Asad Al-Hamlawi in order to sign him during the current summer."
The source explained: "Pyramids contacted Asad Al-Hamlawi and his agent, but has not made any official offer yet."
Asad Al-Hamlawi has been linked with joining Al-Ahly Club in more than one past transfer period, but the negotiations were not completed.
For its part, the Romanian newspaper Tromedia reported that Pyramids Club has entered an advanced stage of negotiations with Universitatea Craiova to sign the Palestinian striker Asad Al-Hamlawi during the current summer.
The report indicated that Pyramids has submitted an offer worth 5 million euros to obtain the player's services permanently, while negotiations are still ongoing regarding the additional bonuses clause linked to the number of matches Al-Hamlawi will play with the Egyptian teamAsad Al-Hamlawi had scored two goals against the Belarusian champion team Maksline, during his team's 4-1 victory, in the first leg of the first preliminary round of the UEFA Champions League.
It is worth noting that Asad Al-Hamlawi, who is 25 years old, had transferred to the ranks of Universitatea Craiova last summer, and played 49 matches with the team, scoring 18 goals and assisting 4 others.
