Al Ahly Club submitted an offer to the Croatian club Dinamo Zagreb to sign the Algerian Mounsef Bekrar, the team's striker, during the summer transfer period.
Al Ahly Club showed great interest in signing Mounsef Bekrar, before officially moving to sign the Algerian player during the current summer.
A source said in exclusive statements to Yalla Koura: "Al Ahly submitted an offer worth 2.5 million dollars, in addition to a 500 thousand dollar bonus, to Dinamo Zagreb club to sign Bekrar".
Al Ahly is awaiting Dinamo Zagreb's position on the offer submitted to sign Bekrar.
Al Ahly had shown interest in signing Bekrar during the past winter transfer period, but the deal was not strongly on the table at that time, but now it has become more serious.
The Algerian player joined Dinamo Zagreb in the summer of 2025 coming from New York City American for one million euros, and his current contract extends until June 2028.
Al Ahly is seeking to contract with a new striker during the summer transfer period, especially after the departure of Ylsin Kamwish, and the lack of stability on the future of Nyets Gradishar with the team.
Al Ahly has in its squad both Mohamed Sherif and Gradishar returning from loan, as strikers in the new season, but their staying is not confirmed yet.
It is worth noting that the Moroccan Hussein Amouta assumed the coaching of Al Ahly Club at the beginning of the next season, succeeding the Danish Jess Thorup.
