Speculation is increasing about the future of Imam Ashour, Al-Ahly club player, during the current summer transfer period, and before the start of the new season, especially after his brilliance with the Egyptian national team in the 2026 World Cup.
The player's name has been linked to the Turkish club Konyaspor, which contacted Al-Ahly earlier to sign the player, before the Red Giant rejected the first offer, and then the club repeated its request again.
First comment from Konyaspor on signing Imam Ashour
In exclusive statements to "Yalla Koura", Ali Jamgoz, a member of the board of directors of the Turkish club Konyaspor, confirmed that the club sent its second offer to the Red Giant to sign Imam Ashour, indicating that it would be the last offer.
Jamgoz said: "Yes, we have indeed sent our financial offer to Al-Ahly club today to sign Imam Ashour, and this is our last offer to the club".
When asked about the possibility of increasing the financial offer, he added: "This will not happen, we have no intention of increasing the financial offer if Al-Ahly requests that".
Konyaspor is no longer the only team interested in signing Imam Ashour, as his name has also been linked to some other clubs, including Al-Ittihad of Saudi Arabia and Villarreal of Spain.
Al-Ahly's negotiations with Imam
The Red Giant seeks to renew the player's contract in the coming period, as the club is still working to reach an agreement for his continuation until the summer of 2030.
According to the offer submitted by Al-Ahly, the player's salary will be in the first category at 30 million pounds, which is the maximum, according to the new salary system, in addition to some incentives.
The player will also receive 30% of the value of every advertisement he participates in during the coming period, if he agrees to renew his contract with the club.
