Germany coach Jürgen Klopp praised his star Florian Wirtz after the 2-0 victory over Serbia in the UEFA Nations League.
Klopp said in comments published by the German newspaper "Kicker": "Wirtz really delivered an excellent performance. Liverpool? I knew him as a great player, and I only know that version of his performance at this time."
He added: "I haven't formed any impressions about the other version. He arrived at Liverpool at the worst possible time. He is a stunning player and will come back strong. It's not about him going through a dip in form and still being asked to play; in reality, he is enjoying good levels."

Klopp is already thinking about the Greece match despite securing the first win against Serbia: "Greece has a wonderful team. Their attacking line includes players capable of playing anywhere, which is exactly what they are doing."
He continued: "They possess that high quality. However, they adopted a deep defensive approach against us, and we weren't up to that challenge. Now it is likely they will play in front of packed stands full of fans. The atmosphere will be hot and fiery. That is another challenge. The match will be tense."
Klopp emphasized: "It remains to be seen if we can repeat this level of performance. This is the next step in our development path. Ultimately, we are still in a learning phase."
When asked what impressed him about the team's performance today, Klopp said: "Everything. The first phase, the middle phases, and the final phase. Our positioning inside the penalty area was stunning. The defense delivered a fantastic defensive performance."
