Jurgen Klopp, the current manager of the German national team and former Liverpool boss, commented on Manchester City's Financial Fair Play crisis.

Reports have circulated alleging that Manchester City has been found guilty of breaching Financial Fair Play rules on 114 occasions. According to the latest updates reported by journalist Ben Jacobs, the Premier League is seeking to impose a severe penalty, likely resulting in the club's expulsion from the top flight or a massive points deduction, which would effectively mean relegation to a lower division.

Klopp breaks his silence on Manchester City sanctions

Klopp said in remarks relayed by Fabrizio Romano via his account on "X": "I can only wait and see. I have great respect for Guardiola and Manchester City's style of play; they delivered outstanding performances and were a top-tier rival for us."

He added: "If any sanctions are imposed, it will not concern me. I will wait and see what happens. I am far from thinking about winning the Premier League title or anything of the sort."

The Germany national team manager continued: "I am completely satisfied with what we achieved at Liverpool. We fought hard on the pitch. I cannot say more about this matter because I do not know the details."

The repercussions may not stop there, as Jacobs also revealed the English Football League's plan to support the Premier League's stance and refuse to accept Manchester City joining any of its divisions.
