Liverpool defender Milos Kerkez believes his team will improve this season despite it being the first without Mohamed Salah.
Salah's journey with Liverpool ended at the conclusion of last season after 9 golden years
Milos Kerkez told the Telegraph: "You can't predict how strong we will be this season, but I'm confident we will improve a lot, even though it's the first season in a decade without the regular goals Mohamed Salah was providing."
He added, "Before we left the club's training center, I saw a report on TV about the number of goals and assists Mohamed Salah had, and the figure was close to 380. I walked out straight away and said to myself: What is this! Time passes and a new generation comes, and I hope everything will be fine."
Since Salah arrived at Liverpool in 2017, all the exceptional numbers and individual achievements have turned into his own cabinet, writing himself into the legends of the English Premier League throughout history.

Regarding Andrew Robertson's departure and move to Tottenham, he said: "Robertson was affected because everything was coming to an end, but he helped me throughout the season. We all know what he gave to the club, and I won't try to compare myself to him, but I want to make my own path. I will work hard, and I fully understand what it means to play for Liverpool."
Regarding the new coach, he explained, "The coach (Andoni Iraola) likes the full-backs to push forward on the flank, whether by moving toward the line or surging into the middle. This style worked for me at Bournemouth, and I believe it will work for me here too."
He continued, "I used to focus first on defense, then on supporting the wingers. He taught me that when you do your duty, you become free to do what you want on the pitch, and that's why I felt great freedom with him. He gives you more space to show your own style."
He added, "Last season was difficult for everyone, and it wasn't good by our standards. I don't care about the pressure, because it's a natural part of this profession. You might have a good or bad match, but the most important thing is development."
He stressed, "If you play a bad match, after three days you'll have a new one. Everyone will forget what you did three days ago, and you have to deliver a good performance again."
He concluded, "It's harder here, and I've realized that since I arrived. When you lose and things don't go as you want, you feel the weight of responsibility. This is one of the biggest clubs in the world, so you must deliver the required level."
Spanish coach Andoni Iraola, formerly of Bournemouth, took over at Liverpool succeeding Dutchman Arne Slot.
Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah has not yet decided his next destination after 9 years wearing the Reds shirt, during which he won many titles and broke record after record.
