Khaled Bibo, ZED FC's director of football, spoke about his team's victory over Djibouti's AS Telecom in the CAF Confederation Cup matches.
ZED secured a clean 4-0 win against AS Telecom in the first leg of the preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup at Cairo International Stadium.

Bibo stated in remarks to Modern Sport channel: "It was a good win and a strong start in the Confederation Cup. If these matches aren't taken seriously, you could be eliminated in the first round. Since last season, we've been striving to achieve something positive, and we succeeded by qualifying for the Confederation Cup. We wish for success and aim to go as far as possible in the tournament."
He added: "The players were happy on the pitch. Mohamed Shawky continuously urged them to relax, play freely, and follow instructions. He is a respected technical director with a bright future in Egyptian football, focusing on every detail. He has become a prominent name and will be among the strongest coaches in Egyptian football."
He continued: "ZED Club is firmly committed to Mohamed Shawky. Should there be any developments regarding the Egyptian Olympic team, that would be a different discussion; everything else currently being said is mere speculation."
He further remarked: "Omar Khedr is a talented player with great potential. He had a professional experience that wasn't particularly successful, but ultimately he returned home. We hope he delivers strong performances."
He went on to say: "I haven't heard the conversation that took place between Wael Gomaa and Mohamed Maarouf during ZED's match. Certainly, it's difficult to overhear dialogue between a referee and a football director. We hold the entire system in high respect. However, this marks the third consecutive match officiated by Mohamed Maarouf for ZED. The players themselves feel they didn't receive their rightful decisions in the match against Al-Ahly, even though Maarouf is one of the distinguished referees."
