Harry Kane, Bayern Munich's striker, expressed his deep appreciation for the support from his teammates and the club as the 2026 Ballon d'Or ceremony approaches, stating that winning the award would represent a major achievement in his career.

Kane told Bayern Munich's official website: "I truly appreciate the support from my teammates and the club. We work extremely hard together, and I give my best for the team. It is really a pleasure to have their great support."

The English forward had an exceptional season with Bayern, scoring 61 goals during the 2025/26 campaign, contributing to the team's domestic double of the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal, as well as reaching the UEFA Champions League semi-finals.

Kane also scored 73 goals for Bayern and the England national team between August 2025 and July 2026, making it the second-highest goal-scoring rate by a player since the start of the millennium, behind Lionel Messi, who scored 82 goals in the 2011/12 season.

Regarding the Ballon d'Or ceremony being held in London, Kane said: "Obviously, hosting the ceremony in London is special for me. I come from London and lived there for a long time, so perhaps it is a good omen. The Ballon d'Or would be a huge success for me, but currently, I am focused on delivering my best performance this season."
