A source revealed that Al-Ahly is close to signing the Algerian Ahmed Qandousi during the current summer transfer window, arriving from Swiss side Lugano.
The source confirmed in exclusive statements to Yalla Koura that Al-Ahly has entered negotiations with Swiss Lugano to sign Qandousi on loan.
He said: "Al-Ahly is negotiating with Swiss Lugano to borrow the Algerian Ahmed Qandousi, and there is flexibility in the negotiations between the two parties."
He added: "The player is close to joining the team on loan for one season."
In the same context, a source close to the player confirmed in previous statements to Yalla Koura that Qandousi's contract with Lugano runs until 2028, but the player informed the Swiss club's officials of his desire to leave in the summer, and the club agreed.
He added: "Qandousi received an official offer from Pyramids last winter, but the player preferred to stay with Lugano until the end of the season and requested to postpone his future until the summer."
