KAF announces the schedule for the African Champions League and Confederation Cup matches for the new season.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced the schedule for the African Champions League and Confederation Cup for the 2026-2027 season.

CAF clarified that the season will start in September and end in May.

Four teams from Egypt will participate in the two tournaments: Zamalek and Pyramids in the Champions League, and Al Ahly and Ceramica Cleopatra in the Confederation Cup.

The dates are as follows:

* The preliminary rounds start in September 2026.

* The group stage takes place between November 2026 and January 2027.

* The finals of both tournaments will be played from May 9 to 31, 2027.

* The prize money remains the same, with $6 million for the African Champions League winner and $4 million for the Confederation Cup winner.

Preliminary round dates:

* First preliminary round (first leg): September 4-6, 2026.

* First preliminary round (second leg): September 11-13, 2026.

* Second preliminary round (first leg): October 16-18, 2026.

* Second preliminary round (second leg): October 23-25, 2026.

Group stage dates:

* First round: November 27-29, 2026.

* Second round: December 4-6, 2026.

* Third round: December 18-20, 2026.

* Fourth round: January 8-10, 2027.

* Fifth round: January 15-17, 2027.

* Sixth round: January 22-24, 2027.

Knockout stage dates:

* Quarter-finals (first leg): February 26-28, 2027.

* Quarter-finals (second leg): March 5-7, 2027.

* Semi-finals (first leg): April 9-11, 2027.

* Semi-finals (second leg): April 16-18, 2027.

* Final: from May 9 to 31, 2027.
