Juan García, the first-team goalkeeper for Barcelona Football Club, spoke about many matters related to Real Madrid and Barcelona deals before entering the new 2026/2027 season.
Juan García conducted an interview with the Catalan newspaper "Sport", in which he said: "Not participating in the World Cup? I dealt with it very well, it has to be that way, I think anything else would be a mistake for me and the team, it's very easy, especially if you win the World Cup, everything was perfect".
He continued: "We substitutes feel like champions just as if we played the full match, think about it, in the end, you spend a long time with your teammates, we were together for about 50 days and we all suffered, I think you suffer more from the substitutes' bench compared to the pitch, yet you feel the same level of participation and that you are a champion".
He added: "Were you upset by Cucurella's transfer to Real Madrid? No, because in the end, everyone decides what is best for him and his future, I think it's a successful step for him, he received some sarcastic comments but deep down I'm very happy for him".
Regarding Barcelona's signing of Julián Álvarez: "I think Julián is an excellent player, anyone who loves football and watches him will immediately realize that he is a wonderful player with great talent, I feel that he will fit in very well with the team".

He continued: "It's not my concern to evaluate all this, I have great trust in the club's sports management as well as the coach whom I know communicates a lot and I am convinced that they will form the best possible team to compete for everything".
He added: "Would I pay 150 million to sign Julián? Fortunately, it's not my concern to ask or answer this question".
Regarding the ambition for the next season with Barcelona: "I think it's completely clear, we must continue the path we are on and win the league again and also seek to win the cup and the Super Cup, which are two important titles for us and of course the Champions League".
He added: "I think we must make it our goal and we must work hard to achieve it, we will do our best to win it without becoming obsessed, obsession is always negative, what we must do is approach it with enthusiasm and confidence and realize that the competition is what requires us to exert maximum effort, nothing more than that".
He concluded: "The titles that will satisfy me next season? At least those we won last season and of course we will seek to win all the other titles, as many as possible".
