Ceramica's two goals were scored by Sadik Ojula in the sixth minute of the match, following a fatal mistake by Modern Sport's defense.
Ahmed Belhadj added the second goal in the 63rd minute.

Belhadj topped the league's scorers list, tied with Hossam Ashraf (Zamalek), Hossam Hassan (Al-Ittihad Alexandria), Mahmoud Mamdouh (Modern Sport), Ouda Fakhouri (Pyramids), and Mawuli Wayo (Al-Qanah).
Ceramica Cleopatra lost their first league match against the newly promoted Al-Qanah 2-1, before defeating Al-Ittihad Alexandria 3-1 in the second round.
Ceramica Cleopatra raised their tally to 6 points, temporarily placing them third in the league standings, while Modern Sport's tally remained at 4 points in ninth place.
Ceramica Cleopatra tied in points with Al-Ahly, Tala'ea El-Gaish, and Al-Masry.
However, Al-Ahly awaits their third-round match against Smouha on Thursday.
Ceramica Cleopatra will visit Smouha as guests in the fourth round on September 8.
Meanwhile, Modern Sport will face Wadi Degla in the next round on Wednesday, September 9.
