Hussein Al-Sayed, a member of the Zamalek Club Board of Directors, ended the controversy over the truth of former sports director John Edward inciting the players to rebel.
John Edward left the position of sports director of Zamalek Club as a result of disagreements with the board of directors headed by Hussein Labib.
Zamalek witnessed in the past days the rebellion of some players and their refusal to join training, such as Juan Bezerra, Abdullah Al-Saeed, and Chico Banza.
Hussein Al-Sayed was asked about the fact that John Edward is the reason for the rebellion of some Zamalek players.
Al-Sayed responded in statements via the "Zamalek App", saying: "John Edward is not young enough to do such actions, I dealt with him and he is a respectable person and does his job to the fullest, him and his work team."
He added: "I still communicate with John Edward's work team, such as Abdul Rahman Ismail, the contracts manager, if I want to obtain any information in any file."
He continued: "I cannot sell any player because of the registration suspension."
He concluded: "When we leave next year (the end of the current board's term), I promise that we will leave the club without any cases, God willing."
