A source at Al-Ahly revealed the truth about the termination of the club's contract with its Moroccan player Reda Slim.
The source told FilGoal.com: "What is being said about the termination of Reda Slim's contract is incorrect; the player is included in the team squad, and the technical staff is considering all players."
He added, "It is not possible to release a player after the registration window has closed."
Reda Slim returned to Al-Ahly after his loan spell with Morocco's AS FAR ended last season.
Al-Ahly decided to include the Moroccan duo Reda Slim and Achraf Dari in the team squad after failing to sign another foreign pair.
Reda Slim has not yet been included in Al-Ahly's Egyptian Premier League squad since the start of the season.
Al-Ahly will face El Mokawloon in the fourth round of the Egyptian Premier League next Wednesday.
Al-Ahly won their first three league matches against Sharqia, ENPPI, ZED, and Smouha.
