The Saudi club Al-Ahli Jeddah announced the departure of Algerian Riyad Mahrez from its ranks.

Al-Ahli Jeddah sent a message of thanks to Mahrez after he spent 3 successful years with the team, officially announcing his departure.
The Saudi newspaper Al-Sharq Al-Awsat had previously reported that Al-Ahli Jeddah would activate the "exit clause" with Riyad Mahrez, ending his contract with the Saudi team.
Mahrez's contract with Al-Ahli Jeddah was supposed to extend until the end of the next season, but the Saudi club decided to refresh the team.
Mahrez played 122 matches for Al-Ahli Jeddah, scoring 37 goals and providing 46 assists in all competitions.
Meanwhile, "Sky Sports" reported that Al-Ahli Jeddah inquired about the financial and sporting demands of Mohamed Salah.
The same reports indicated that negotiations are in their early stages, and there is no agreement between the two parties yet.

It indicated that Al-Ahli Jeddah wants to sign Salah as a replacement for Algerian Riyad Mahrez, who received 14.5 million euros to terminate his association with the Saudi club.
Al-Ahli Jeddah holds the title of the last two editions of the AFC Champions League for the elite.
The Saudi club has secured a spot in the 2029 FIFA Club World Cup.
