Newcastle stated on its website: "We are delighted to announce the signing of Matias Fernandez-Pardo for an undisclosed transfer fee."
The 21-year-old international striker joined the English club on a five-season contract.
Newcastle did not disclose the deal's value, but reports indicated it was completed for €60 million.
Fernandez Pardo will wear shirt number 20 for Newcastle.
With this signing, Newcastle prepares for the departure of German Nick Woltemade, who is undergoing a medical examination with Juventus ahead of his move to the Bianconeri.
Standing 1.88 meters tall, Fernandez Pardo is capable of playing as a central striker or on the left wing.
Arsenal had previously shown interest in signing Pardo and reportedly considered him as an alternative to securing Julian Alvarez from Atletico Madrid.
The 21-year-old player participated in 71 matches during his career with Lille, scoring 12 goals and providing 11 assists.
