Via FilGoal

Dynamo Zagreb of Croatia imposed a draw on its Swiss host Thun with one goal for each team.

Dynamo Zagreb drew 1-1 against Thun in the first leg of the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League.

The Algerian Monsef Bakrar was on the substitutes' bench for Dynamo Zagreb and did not participate throughout the match.

Dynamo Zagreb will play against the Swiss team Thun home and away on July 21 and 28 of this month.

Bakrar has become close to transferring to Al Ahly to become the fourth signing this summer.

It is expected that Bakrar will sign his transfer contracts to Al Ahly after this match.

This comes after Dynamo Zagreb reached an agreement with Al Ahly days ago regarding postponing Monsef Bakrar's transfer.

FilGoal.com also learned FilGoal.com that the Algerian player will join Al Ahly in Cairo, before traveling with the team to the training camp in Spain on August 6 next.

Bakrar had joined Dynamo Zagreb last summer from New York City, signing a contract that extends until 2028.

The Croatian website jutarnji revealed last week that Dynamo Zagreb reached an agreement allowing the player to remain with the team until playing the two matches of the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League against Swiss Thun.

The report explained that the deal amounted to 3 million euros as the base value, with the possibility of rising to 4 million euros through incentives.

This comes alongside the Croatian club receiving 10% of any future resale value.

The Algerian striker participated in 42 matches last season, during which he scored 18 goals and provided 7 assists.
