Former Egyptian football star Haitham Farouk was keen to direct an important message to the board of directors of Zamalek Club, headed by Hussein Labib, regarding the departure of Brazilian Juan Alvina Bezerra, the first football team player, during the current summer transfer period.

The former Zamalek Club and Egypt national team star refused the departure of Bezerra from the White Castle this season, demanding his stay in order to compete for the African Champions League title.

Farouk wrote on his account on the social media site "X" this evening, Tuesday: "In light of the inability to add any new player due to the registration ban, Bezerra must be present to compete for the African Champions League".

The former Zamalek star added: "The amount offered to sell Bezerra is 3 million dollars, the reward for winning the African Champions League title is double that amount".
