Ibrahim Hassan, the manager of the Egyptian national team, confirmed that he is not concerned with facing the Argentine star Lionel Messi before the two teams' match in the 2026 World Cup.
The Egyptian team has set a date with Argentina in the round of 16 of the World Cup.
The match between Egypt and Argentina is scheduled to take place at 7 PM next Tuesday.
Ibrahim Hassan said in statements on Sada El Balad channel: "Facing Messi? We don't see him, we only see ourselves, we don't look at names, and the most important thing is to fight for victory."
He added: "We have Mohamed Salah and we have 26 Messis, and with all due respect to Messi and Cristiano, we don't look at anyone, and the most important thing for us is that every player fights on the field."
He continued: "Mohamed Salah presents a completely different version with the Egyptian national team and Hossam Hassan."
He added: "Salah went through difficult circumstances with some coaches due to a lack of understanding, but with Hossam Hassan, the situation has changed and developed a lot with him, and we now find him playing in more than one position."
