According to the Scottish "Glasgowtimes", Celtic is ready to intensify its interest in signing Haitham Hassan.

Celtic has been linked with signing the Egyptian winger Haitham Hassan, and the Scottish giant has identified the Pharaohs' star as a priority target during the summer transfer window.

Celtic competes with Marseille, which is seeking to obtain the services of Haitham Hassan, who has a release clause worth 10 million pounds sterling.

He continued: "It was an educational season for me with Real Oviedo and we all made mistakes, it was a difficult season and you saw Oviedo not used to this level but we did not expect it to be this difficult".

He continued: "On a personal level, I went through periods of ups and downs, good times and others of lesser quality, so I needed rest after the season physically and psychologically, I am very happy in Oviedo".

Haitham Hassan concluded about Oviedo: "They always treated me well and I spent the best periods of my professional career here, Oviedo will always remain part of my heart but we will see what happens, I don't know if I will stay or not".
