Media personality Ahmed Shoubir confirmed that Imam Ashour, player of the first football team at Al Ahly Club, has received a huge offer from one of the European clubs, explaining the player's stance, and also revealed the Red Giant's squad list for the new football season.
Shoubir said in statements on his radio program: "Imam Ashour received an offer from one of the Turkish clubs amounting to 3 million dollars, which could have reached 4 or 5 million dollars, but Al Ahly completely refused it".
He added: "Because Al Ahly is in a position of strength, especially since the player has two years remaining on his contract with the club, and it was a good stance from the club to confirm to the player that it needs him and values him. On the other hand, Imam Ashour's family prefers him to stay in Egypt, especially since his previous experience in Denmark was unsuccessful".
He continued: "Regarding Al Ahly's squad for the new season, Ahmed Eid, Mohamed Magdy Afsha, Ahmed Reda, and Omar El Saai are more than 90% likely to remain with Al Ahly in the coming period".
He pointed out: "After Seha moved to Al Masry Club, Al Ahly now has only three goalkeepers: Mustafa Shoubir, Mohamed El Shenawy, and Hamza Alaa. In defense: Yasser Ibrahim, Yassin Marei, Amr El Gazzar, Hady Riad, Mohamed Hany, Karim Fouad, Youssef Belamri, and Karim El Debes".
He continued: "In midfield: Marwan Attia, Ahmed Reda, Ahmed Nabil Koka, Afsha, Ali Mahmoud, Imam Ashour, and Kaku. In attack: Ashraf Ben Sharqi, Ahmed Sayed Zizo, Hussein El Shahat, Taher Mohamed Taher, Mohamed Abdullah, Mohamed Raafat, as well as Aktai Abdullah, Sofiane Benjdida, Monsef Bekrar, and Omar Sayed Moawad".
He stressed: "Regarding Mohamed Sherif, the intention is for him to leave Al Ahly despite his brilliance during the preparation period. Reda Slim will either stay with Raja Casablanca or move to Al Masry. Christo will reach a settlement with Al Ahly".
He concluded: "Thanks were extended to Omar Kamal Abdel Wahed. As for Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane, he is outside Al Ahly's squad, and the president of Al Shamal Club in Qatar announced that the player will join the team.. and this is all regarding Al Ahly's squad for the new season".
