Arsenal Club, the English Premier League champions, have become close to concluding a strong deal during the current summer transfer window by signing Brazilian international midfielder Bruno Guimarães, Newcastle United star.
According to journalist Alex Crook, Arsenal have advanced in their negotiations with Newcastle officials to finalize the deal for Guimarães during the current summer transfer window.
Crook added that the deal is expected to be concluded for £70 million, after weeks of negotiations between the administrations of the two clubs.
The 28-year-old has given his approval to Arsenal's management to move to the Emirates Stadium, which has strengthened the Premier League champions' moves to negotiate with Newcastle to complete the deal.
The Brazilian midfielder moved to Newcastle in 2023, coming from French club Olympique Lyon, to become one of the main pillars of the "Magpies" team.
The Brazilian international's contract extends until the summer of 2028, while his market value stands at €70 million, according to the "Transfermarkt" website.
It is worth noting that Newcastle had agreed to the departure of their Italian player Sandro Tonali to Tottenham Hotspur, in a deal worth £100 million.
