Al Ahly Club seeks to strengthen the attacking line of the first football team during the current summer transfer window, in coordination with the new technical director, Hussein Amouta.
Al Ahly had held a press conference at the club's headquarters in Zamalek to introduce the Moroccan coach Hussein Amouta to the media, so that he could officially begin his mission before the start of the new 2026-2027 season.

How does Al Ahly approach the striker file?
A source at Al Ahly Club said in exclusive statements to Yalla Koura: "Al Ahly has already opened talks with Monsef Bekdar and renewed negotiations with Sofiane Benjdida after the conclusion of the Moroccan league."
The source added: "Discussions are still ongoing regarding negotiations with the Jordanian Ali Alwan, and contact is also continuing with the representatives of the Algerian Nadir Benbouali, striker of Győri in Hungary."
He continued: "Al Ahly has allocated a large sum reaching 5 million dollars to conclude two foreign deals, and if negotiations proceed well with any duo from this quartet, this amount will go toward the new attacking reinforcement."
He went on: "Coach Hussein Amouta's priority is to sign Sofiane Benjdida, striker of Maghreb Fes, and Mr. Anis, Amouta's agent, has taken charge of finalizing this file and has already obtained the player's approval."
The source continued in this regard: "However, Maghreb Fes management is still inflating its financial demands and awaits a resolution by reviewing the remaining offers submitted for the standout striker, which will reach the Moroccan club this summer."
The source noted that: "Nadir Benbouali is considered a priority for the club's football management, on equal footing with Monsef Bekdar, player of Dinamo Zagreb, and Hussein Amouta himself has no objection to this matter."
The source concluded his statements to Yalla Koura by saying: "The Jordanian Ali Alwan remains the most prominent option in the (backup slot) in case an agreement cannot be reached with the first three choices to bolster the attack."
