Al-Ahly Club has put an end to the controversy surrounding the future of midfield star Imam Ashour after announcing the extension of his contract until 2030.
Imam Ashour signed a contract extension for two additional seasons, beyond the two remaining seasons in his current deal, which means he will remain with the Red Fortress until 2030.
Ashour is preparing to embark on his fourth season with Al-Ahly amidst new hopes and ambitions, as fans place great expectations on him to help reclaim championship titles.
With this move, Al-Ahly aims to maintain the core squad of the team in light of their ambition to win all trophies following a disappointing season.
Imam Ashour represents a key element for the Red Fortress, having written exceptional and historic moments wearing the Al-Ahly jersey in recent years.
His stint with Al-Ahly stands out as the most prominent chapter in Imam Ashour's career due to his achievements since joining the club in the summer of 2023.
Imam Ashour won the CAF Champions League and participated in the FIFA Club World Cup tournaments for the first time in his career.
Additionally, the 28-year-old secured the league top scorer title in the 2024-2025 season.
Ashour has played 105 matches for Al-Ahly, scoring 32 goals and providing 25 assists.
