Hossam Hassan, the technical director of the Egyptian national team, revealed the details of his conversation with the referee of the Argentina match and his message to the national team players after bidding farewell to the 2026 World Cup tournament.

And he added: "I told the referee that what happened not fair but he feels that there is a slap on his head, they don't understand what a slap on his head means (I say to the translator that he did something and doesn't want anyone to see it)".

The Egyptian national team coach concluded his statements: "An unfair victory for Argentina, and I promise that after what happened today I will not watch the World Cup again and I will not watch any other match in the World Cup when I return to my country and my home".
