Hossam Ashraf, a player for Zamalek's first team, successfully scored the second goal for the White Knights against National Bank of Egypt in the ongoing Egyptian Premier League match.
Zamalek faced National Bank of Egypt this Wednesday evening at Cairo Stadium in the second round of the Egyptian Premier League.
After Zamalek opened the scoring in the 51st minute through Angolan star Chico Banza, the White Knights added a second goal in the final moments of the match.
In an organized attack in the 87th minute, Moroccan left-back Mahmoud Bentayg delivered a precise cross, which Hossam Ashraf met with a brilliant header that found the back of National Bank of Egypt's net.
This marks Hossam Ashraf's first goal wearing the Zamalek jersey since returning to the squad following the end of his loan spell at Smouha Club at the conclusion of the current season.
Ashraf's previous goal for Zamalek came on January 25, 2025, against Mozambique's Black Bulls in the CAF Confederation Cup, approximately 19 months ago.
It is worth noting that Zamalek began their Egyptian Premier League campaign with a goalless draw against Alexandria Union, while National Bank of Egypt suffered a 1-0 defeat against Abu Qir Fertilizers.
