Hossam Ashraf, a player for Zamalek Club, was awarded the Man of the Match prize in his team's game against Suez Petrojet Selection, as part of the Egyptian Premier League competitions.
Zamalek defeated Suez Petrojet Selection by two goals to one in the match held on Monday evening at Cairo International Stadium, within the fixtures of the third round of the Egyptian Premier League.
Hossam Ashraf started in the lineup fielded by coach Moataz Gamal, before being substituted off in the 86th minute of the match.
Hossam Ashraf opened the scoring for Zamalek in the 40th minute of the match, following a cross delivered by Chico Banza into the penalty area, which Ashraf headed into the net.
This victory marks the second consecutive win for the White Castle in the Premier League, following their 3-0 triumph over National Bank of Egypt in the previous round.
With this important victory, the White Castle's points tally reached 7, placing them second in the Premier League standings, just two points behind Pyramids FC, who hold the runner-up position.
