Hossam Ashraf scored the opening goal for the White Castle in the 40th minute with a header to the left of the Suez Petrojet goalkeeper, following a cross from the left flank by the Angolan Chico Banza.
This goal marks Hossam Ashraf's second consecutive goal with the White Knights, after he scored in his team's 3-0 victory over National Bank of Egypt last Wednesday evening.
The 25-year-old player started in the match between Zamalek and Suez Petrojet, replacing Nasser Mansi, marking his first starting appearance with the White Castle this season.
Hossam Ashraf returned to Zamalek this summer following the end of his loan spell with Smouha at the conclusion of last season.
The White Knights currently hold 4 points, placing them fifth in the Egyptian Premier League standings, while Suez Petrojet sits in 14th place with just one point.
