Hossam El-Mando, the treasurer of Al-Zamalek Club, confirmed that the board of directors of the White Fortress is still committed to the return of Brazilian Juan Pizera to the team in the coming period, pointing out that work is continuing on a daily basis to finalize the file.
El-Mando said, in statements via MBC Masr channel: "The board of directors is insisting on Pizera's return to the club in the coming period, and this will be achieved very soon, but there is no specific date for the return."
He added: "There is daily work on Pizera's file, and many emails are being sent on a daily basis, and there is a near-agreement that will be satisfactory to both parties in the coming period."
He concluded: "This agreement will protect the rights of Al-Zamalek Club, and at the same time will achieve what the club is asking for, which is the player's return to the team. I do not know the truth about the offers made to the player."
Referees for the Cairo Derby
Al-Zamalek's treasurer also addressed the club's stance on the refereeing team for the Cairo Derby, confirming that there is no issue with the board of directors regarding the assignment of the match to an Egyptian refereeing team.
He said: "We have no problem with the Cairo Derby being officiated by Egyptian referees, and we have not yet made a decision regarding the request for foreign referees."
Regarding the team's performance in recent matches, El-Mando clarified that the performance was not up to the required level, while emphasizing the importance of collecting points.
He said: "Al-Zamalek's performance in previous matches is not satisfactory, but the most important thing is to secure points, especially after the problems Al-Zamalek has gone through, the most notable of which is the incomplete pre-season."
Football Company and Abbas's Support
Hossam El-Mando also revealed the board of directors' moves regarding the establishment of a football company, confirming that it represents an important step towards achieving financial sustainability for the club.
He explained: "The football company is essential for managing the club well in order to achieve financial sustainability. Currently, we are studying the best concept from the perspective of the majority of the board of directors to reach the appropriate percentage, and we are in contact with investors, with many responses."
El-Mando spoke about the role of Mamdouh Abbas, former president of Al-Zamalek Club, in supporting the club, confirming that he remains one of the lovers and loyalists of the White Fortress.
He concluded his statements by saying: "Mamdouh Abbas has not withdrawn his support for Al-Zamalek Club; he is one of the club's lovers and loyalists, and there are many other people who support the club, whether financially or through relationships."
