Al-Ahly Club announced that several prominent board members held a meeting with the first-team players on Tuesday evening, on the sidelines of the start of the new season's competitions.
Al-Ahly clarified that Yassin Mansour, the club's vice-president, and Sayed Abdel Hafez, the board member tasked with overseeing football affairs, held a meeting with the technical staff and first-team players, in the presence of Mahmoud El-Khatib, the club's president.
During the meeting, Mahmoud El-Khatib reaffirmed his full confidence in all components of the team's structure and their ability to achieve the best results across various competitions.
According to the club's statement, El-Khatib highlighted the importance of the upcoming phase, which requires unity for the sake of Al-Ahly's fans, who represent the main support and backbone for the club, the technical staff, and the players.
For his part, Yassin Mansour emphasized that the coming period presents numerous challenges for the team, thereby doubling the responsibility on everyone to exert maximum effort for the club.
Mansour confirmed the continued support of the board of directors and the entire football sector for the technical staff and players, aiming to provide an appropriate environment to compete strongly for all titles.
For his part, Sayed Abdel Hafez stressed the importance and necessity of embodying Al-Ahly's character, working with a team spirit, standing united as one, and delivering performances befitting the club and its fans, who deserve much more.
Al-Ahly Club had previously kicked off its Egyptian Premier League campaign with a 3-2 victory over Sharqia Enppi in a match held last Sunday at Cairo Stadium.
