Media personality Ahmed Shobair revealed the mindset of Moroccan coach Hussein Ammouta, head coach of the first football team at Al Ahly, regarding the lineup for the Red Giants' upcoming match against Zamalek in the next Cairo Derby, highlighting the key players on whom the coach has settled.

Al Ahly and Zamalek are scheduled to meet in the Egyptian Premier League summit, as part of Matchday 6, on Sunday, October 11, at Cairo International Stadium.

Shobair said in statements during his radio program: "The bet now is on Al Ahly's lineup. The fans want specific players; for example, they want Hussein El Shahat, Achraf Ben Sharqi, and Sofiane Ben Djedja."

He continued: "This is what the fans want, but how does the head coach think? Hussein Ammouta will not follow opinions on social media platforms, but he thinks, because he has settled on Mohamed Hany on the right side, and is set on the defensive pairing of Yassin Merhi and Yasser Ibrahim if he recovers from his injury; otherwise, Hadi Riad will replace him."

He added: "The coach has likely settled on Karim Fouad on the left, though this is not confirmed, and has definitely decided on Imam Ashour, as well as Achraf Ben Sharqi, Marwan Attia, and Sofiane Ben Djedja. It is possible that Monsef will start with one decision, and there is a possibility of Hussein El Shahat playing."

He emphasized: "But he will not field young faces in the derby match. They might be present on the bench. He admires Ali Mahmoud and likes Ahmed Reda, and loves Taher Mohamed Taher."

He concluded: "The story of Al Ahly's lineup against Zamalek in the derby is difficult. Fans hope the coach makes better choices in the lineup, as they believe this match will make a difference for Al Ahly and its position in the table upon the league's return."
