Hani Saeed, the sports director of Pyramids Club, announced that the team will hold an external preparatory camp in Turkey in preparation for the launch of the new season.
Pyramids finished last season in second place in the Egyptian League behind Zamalek, the league champion, by one point.
Hani Saeed said through the Pyramids Media Center: "We are holding an external preparatory camp in Turkey in preparation for the launch of the new season, as part of the board of directors and CEO Mamdouh Eid's keenness to provide all the team's requirements and set a strong preparation program, especially with the many local and continental commitments during the next season".
He continued: "The Pyramids delegation will travel to Turkey next Thursday morning on a private plane provided by the administration, to ensure the highest levels of focus and comfort for all team members".
He added: "The external camp will continue until next August 9, before returning to Cairo to undergo the final stage of the preparation program before the start of the local season with league matches".
He revealed: "The team will undergo an intensive training program throughout the camp period according to the preparation plan set by the technical staff led by Rulani Mokwena".
He concluded: "The team will play a series of friendly matches of varying strength and technical level, and their dates and opponents will be announced in the coming days, before returning to Cairo and completing preparations for the new season".
Yesterday, Friday, Pyramids Club announced the appointment of Mokwena as the team's new coach, succeeding the Croatian Krunoslav Jurčić.
