Hani Abu Rida, President of the Egyptian Football Association, met with Shawqi Gharib, the new technical director of the association, in the presence of Khaled Al-Darandali, Vice President of the Association, and Mustafa Azzam, Secretary General, and Mahmoud Fayez, Director of the Performance Analysis Department at the Association.
Shawqi Gharib was appointed technical director of the Football Association, as part of a set of decisions issued by the Egyptian Football Association, which included the appointment of Essam Abdel Fattah as head of the referees committee, and approval of Zamalek and Pyramids' participation in the Champions League, and Al Ahly and Z in the Confederation.
Abu Rida meets with Shawqi Gharib
Hani Abu Rida, President of the Football Association, held a meeting with Shawqi Gharib, the technical director of the association, to discuss the work plan for the upcoming period, within the framework of restructuring the technical system and preparing for the new season.
The meeting discussed the vision related to developing work within the Football Association, and how to coordinate between the various technical departments, in addition to developing an integrated program for monitoring the national teams.
Shawqi Gharib reviewed the main features of the proposed work plan, which includes monitoring youth and junior competitions, and discovering distinguished talents in preparation for including them in the national teams.
The President of the Football Association stressed the importance of the upcoming period, emphasizing the need to implement a clear technical strategy aimed at raising the level of the national teams, and benefiting from Shawqi Gharib's extensive experience in working with the youth and Olympic teams.
