Ahmed El-Ahmar, the former Zamalek legend, addressed a message to the fans after his departure from the team and his transfer to Al Ahly Bank Club.

Al Ahly Bank Club completed the contracting procedures with Ahmed El-Ahmar, the former Zamalek star, to strengthen the ranks of the handball team.

Ahmed El-Ahmar wrote on his official account: "First, I would like to thank Al Ahly Bank Club for joining them and their trust, especially after their intention to carry out a respectable project to reach a better place and provide all the capabilities to achieve that goal".

He continued, "I really liked the project and I am honored to be a part of it for two reasons, the first is that the team has the goal of reaching a better position".

He revealed, "As for the second reason, it is that I will enjoy playing without any of the pressures I have gone through in the last 3 years, I love handball very much and I still want to get my fill of it".

He added, "Many people do not know, so I wanted to explain the matter away from material things and without explaining details because the matter concerns me".

He stressed, "In the end, Zamalek Club is my home in which I grew up and I consider myself a part of it and it is everything to me, and nothing can affect my feeling towards the home in which I grew up all my life".

El-Ahmar concluded, "Zamalek Club has always been big and will remain big with its children and fans and everyone who loves it".

It is worth noting that El-Ahmar is the all-time top scorer for Zamalek and the Egyptian national team.

Ahmed El-Ahmar is the most decorated with titles, having won 5 African Club Champions League titles 5 times, the African Super Cup 5 times, and the African Cup Winners' Cup 4 times.

He also won the league 8 times, the Egypt Cup 5 titles, and the Egyptian Super Cup 3 titles.

He achieved third place with Zamalek in the 2010 Handball Club World Cup.

El-Ahmar played for German clubs Flensburg, Qatari Al-Jaish, Saudi Al-Ahli Jeddah and Al-Wahda, Lebanese Al-Sadd, Kuwaiti Al-Kuwait, and Tunisian Club Africain.

Ahmed El-Ahmar is also the all-time top scorer in the Handball Club World Cup.
