Barcelona Club announced its starting lineup to face Europa Club in the friendly match, which features a special occasion for the young Egyptian Hamza Abdel Karim, after he earned the chance to start with the Catalan club's first team.
Barcelona will meet Europa Club, the Spanish third-division side, this Friday evening at the start of their preparations for the upcoming season.
Hamza Abdel Karim starts the match in attack alongside Rony Bardji and Xavi Kluivert, marking the Egyptian striker's first appearance in a match with Barcelona's first team under German coach Hans Flick.
Barcelona's lineup for the match against Europa is as follows:
Goalkeeper: Wojciech Szczęsny.
Defense: Héctor Fort, Andreas Christensen, Gerard Martín, Jofre Torrents.
Midfield: Guille Fernández, Brian Fariñas, Ibrahim Diarra.
Attack: Rony Bardji, Hamza Abdel Karim, Xavi Kluivert.
It is worth noting that Barcelona recently announced the signing of Hamza Abdel Karim (18 years old) from Al Ahly, after activating the buy clause in his contract following his loan move to the Catalan club last January, where he played several matches with the youth team.
Hamza has joined the first team's training sessions as part of preparations for the upcoming season (2026-2027).
