Scottish club Celtic officially announced their signing of Egyptian national team player Haitham Hassan, coming from Spanish Real Oviedo, during the current summer transfer window.
Celtic said in an official statement earlier: "The club is pleased to announce the signing of Egyptian international winger Haitham Hassan from Real Oviedo, on a contract that extends for four years, with the option to extend for an additional season".
Haitham Hassan, who was born in France, is scheduled to wear the number 23 shirt with the Scottish league champions in his new experience with the team.
Haitham Hassan had played an important role in Real Oviedo's promotion to the Spanish league, after regularly participating with the team during the past season, and contributing to qualifying for La Liga.

Celtic is preparing to play its first match after signing Haitham Hassan, when it faces Dundee United, on August 15, in the round of 16 of the Scottish Cup.
The match is expected to be an opportunity for Haitham Hassan to make his first appearance in a Celtic shirt, provided he is technically and physically fit and registered in the team's squad.
If the player does not participate against Dundee United, he will have another opportunity to appear with Celtic, when the team faces Austrian LASK Linz in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers.
