Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard praised the abilities of Mohamed Salah, the former Reds star who has recently joined Trabzonspor, explaining that the Turkish club has signed a real fighter.
Trabzonspor succeeded in securing Mohamed Salah’s services on a two-year contract until 2028, with an annual salary of 17 million euros.
Gerrard praised Trabzonspor fans’ love for Mohamed Salah in statements to TNT Sports, which were reported by the Turkish newspaper Haber61.

Gerrard said: “There is always real love in football, and I can feel the reactions of Trabzonspor fans. Signing one of the best players in Premier League history is a source of pride, not only because Mohamed Salah joined Trabzonspor, but for what he will add to the team and his great value.”
He added: “When Mohamed Salah arrived on the pitch on the day of his presentation, what he said to the fans was typical of him. He told them that he loves them, and that is special. Achieving victory with Trabzonspor will hold a special place in the hearts of its fans.”
He explained: “I know what Mohamed Salah can do with the mentality and courage he possesses, and there is no doubt about that. I have watched him play for Liverpool many times and score wonderful goals. He gives his all because he is a real fighter and always wants his team to win. Trabzonspor will enjoy having Salah in its ranks this season.”
Mohamed Salah hopes to write a new chapter in history with Trabzonspor, after giving everything possible during his nine years with Liverpool before departing at the end of last season.
