Gamal Abdel Hamid, former Zamalek star, discussed the crisis involving Brazilian player Juan Bezerra of Al-Abyad and the possibility of Imam Ashour returning to the White Castle.

Abdel Hamid said on Mega FM radio: "Zamalek's draw against Al-Ittihad was expected given the delayed preparation period; the team's level in the first half was good, unlike the second half."

He added: "I reassure all Zamalek fans; the club defies logic. Everyone expected us not to win any title last season, yet we clinched the league."

He continued: "I am extremely optimistic about Zamalek this season. Zamalek fans are number one, and everyone works against Zamalek; therefore, it will always defy logic."

He went on: "Where are those who said Zamalek would not play in Africa this new season? Zamalek will forever remain Zamalek throughout its history, and there is no season from which it exits without a trophy."

He elaborated: "Zizo lied to Zamalek fans despite their love for him and his capabilities; Zamalek is what made him, but the player did not appreciate that."

He further stated: "Unlike Zizo, Zamalek fans welcome Imam Ashour should he return to Zamalek because he was honest with Zamalek supporters; therefore, if he wishes to return, we welcome him once again."

He added: "Zamalek fans can move mountains. Hassan Shehata is the only one who understood Bezerra and that Bezira is an emotional actor. He is a player whose great capabilities are undisputed, but if I were responsible at Zamalek, I would approve his departure following his recent behavior."
