French club Bordeaux has officially announced its purchase by a British-American investment fund for one euro.
The French club, which underwent judicial receivership twice and played in the fourth division for the past two seasons, suffered from severe financial crises in recent years.
The new owners signed a mandatory clause committing them to assume all of the club's debts, which amount to 18 million euros, and finalized the purchase deal for an unexpected sum.
