Press reports stated today, Friday, that the French judiciary dismissed a lawsuit filed by Kylian Mbappé, the Real Madrid player, against his former club Paris Saint-Germain on charges of alleged misconduct due to "insufficient evidence."

Amidst the ongoing legal battle over unpaid dues from his contract with Paris Saint-Germain, the player's lawyers filed the lawsuit and later withdrew it, yet the investigation continued.

However, because "the plaintiff himself does not support his claim," investigating judges dismissed the case last May as it was impossible to proceed, according to media reports.

According to the newspaper "Mundo Deportivo," the alleged misconduct by Mbappé relates to his exclusion from the first team at the beginning of the 2022/2023 season after he refused to extend his contract with the French club.

The goal of the Parisian club's management in taking this measure was to persuade the player to renew his contract or leave the club for a large sum of money before his contract expired at the end of that season, allowing him to potentially depart for free.

After several weeks, the French player managed to rejoin the first team, which was then coached by Luis Enrique in his first year. At the end of that season, he left Paris Saint-Germain for Real Madrid.

The club then withheld part of the player's salary and bonuses, considering this part of an oral agreement he had made with President Nasser Al-Khelaifi regarding his return to the first team.

However, Mbappé demanded payment of his wages, and in May 2025, he launched a multifaceted legal campaign, including a complaint about workplace harassment.

But the Real Madrid player ultimately withdrew his lawsuit after the labor court ruled in his favor in the contractual dispute, ordering Paris Saint-Germain to pay him €61 million, a decision the club did not appeal, making it final.

With the dismissal of this case, all legal disputes between Mbappé and Paris Saint-Germain are closed. The club he joined in 2017 from Monaco for €180 million—the second most expensive transfer in history.

It is worth noting that after becoming the club's all-time top scorer and winning seven league titles, four French Cups, and one League Cup, Mbappé moved to Real Madrid in a free transfer deal in 2024.
