Frankfurt close to signing Marwan Attia's rival at Al-Ittihad

External press reports revealed that the German club Eintracht Frankfurt is close to signing Rafael Onyedika, the Belgian Club Brugge player, during the current summer transfer window.

The Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadiya had previously revealed that there is a preference for Al-Ittihad Jeddah to sign between Rafael Onyedika and Marwan Attia, the first-team player of Al-Ahly club, this summer.

The German newspaper Kicker reported this evening, Saturday, that the transfer deal of Rafael Onyedika to Eintracht Frankfurt has reached its final stages in the past few hours.

The report indicated that the defensive midfielder is expected to join the training of the Frankfurt team in their external camp in Grassau, Germany, at the beginning of next week.

It concluded: "It is almost impossible for any other club to intervene in that deal, as it is almost complete, and its value will be less than 10 million euros, as Onyedika's contract with Brugge ends in the summer of 2027".

It is worth noting that the Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad had clarified two days ago that the offers submitted by Al-Ittihad club to sign Onyedika did not meet the ambitions of Club Brugge, which wanted to get 10 million euros in exchange for completing it.

The Nigerian, Rafael Onyedika, who is 25 years old, had transferred to the ranks of the Belgian Club Brugge four seasons ago, coming from the Danish Midtjylland, and played 183 matches with the team, scoring 9 goals and assisting 6 others.
